Let's see...

In January of 2002 Senator Jay Rockefeller traveled to Syria to warn that country that the United States was planning to invade Iraq.

On June 1st of 2002 President Bush gave a speech at West Point where he communicated to the American people a desire to invade Iraq.

According to former military intelligence officer Bill Tierny he began to notice strange border activity between Syria and Iraq in the late summer/fall of 2002 which was possibly consistent with the transportation of WMD's.

Coincidence? Who knows. There's nothing concrete here, but there is certainly enough to start asking questions about what it was, exactly, that Senator Rockefeller was doing in Syria.
