A while ago I heard CNN anchor Rick Sanchez say that his network has been tougher on Obama than Palin because they’ve run a total of 42 stories critical of Obama and only 22 critical of Palin.
I’ve been thinking about that for a while, and it just dawned on me: That’s a pretty poor comparison.
See, Obama has been running for President for over a year and a half. About nineteen months, to be exact, or 82 weeks. Which works out to about one negative story about Obama every two weeks.
Palin, on the other hand, has been in the Presidential race for three weeks. Which works out to just a little over one negative story about Palin per day.
Which makes it clear that CNN has been a hell of a lot tougher on Palin than they’ve been on Obama.
