Heard recently on CNN (video at the link):

Sanctions, war, and the insurgency have cripple Iraq's once-exemplary medical care....Now there is only one way to make sure her young patients survive: "They need to go outside of Iraq."

Unbelievable. I mean, how about some context? Mass graves? The torture of political dissidents? The rape of wives and daughters of those who voted the wrong way in elections? Enemies of Saddam fed into industrial plastic shredders? Chemical warfare?

Which situation do you hink the Iraqis would prefer: Ruthless, homicidal dictator using terror and force to inflict his will on the public or sub-par health care which has the potential to improve again as Iraq gets back on its feet? Because I'm guessing most of them (those who didn't have "most favored" status under the old regime) are glad to be out from under Saddam's thumb.

Unless you listen to CNN, of course.
