I don't know what Kos is so upset about. His candidate dropped the f-bomb in a Rolling Stone interview. Bush was flipping off the camera as a joke during a test filming. It wasn't like he was flipping off the press corps (not that I'd blame him sometimes).
I'd just as soon politicians not do this sort of thing in public or during interviews. Some people don't like it, its unprofessional and it sets a bad example for children.
But joking behind the scenes with staff is another matter entirely.
