When the Democrats pledged this campaign season to implement all of the 9/11 Commissions recommendations for national security they actually didn’t mean “all” of them.  Just the ones that are convenient.

Steve suggests that this has to do with Democrat committee chairmen not wanting to lose power, but I think it speaks more to a generalized Democrat dislike of the military/intelligence community in general.  If there’s one thing the Dems love doing it’s keeping our military and intelligence organizations underfunded and weak.
