We all know the Democrats want to bail out the automakers for the sake of propping up the auto unions who, with declining national enrollment, can hardly afford to lose labor contracts with Detroit’s big three.  It’s another thing, however, to hear a Democrat come right out and say that:

Why do the unions deserve a bailout any more than the big auto giants?  They made their bed together.  Let them lay in it.
