Can you imagine any media outlet letting someone like President Bush off the hook when he flubbed nominations?  Of course not.  But check out this headline from the Associated Press:

The AP has changed their headline since the original posting (see the new one here), but the entire tone of the article is just plain unacceptable from the standpoint of objective journalism.

I mean, remember when Bush picked Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court?  Everyone in the country jumped on him for it.  And rightfully so.  That would have been a horrible appointment.

But Obama?  He apparently gets a pass when he flubs appointments.  Because he’s The One, and the media loves him.
