Anyone else tired of seeing all these ads from celebrities telling people who think The Hills is premium entertainment to go out and vote?

Here’s one starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere:

You know what would be refreshing?  An ad telling people not to vote.  Or, at least, an ad saying “don’t vote” for the people who don’t follow politics and don’t know anything about Barack Obama except that all the celebrities like him and Oprah calls him “The One.”

I think maybe I should cut an ad like that.

“Hello, I’m Rob Port.  If you’re someone who doesn’t have a clue about politics, if you’re someone whose idea of insightful commentary is whatever Whoopi Goldberg said on The View that day (or what Chuck Norris said, for that matter), do us all a favor and don’t vote.  Your ignorance isn’t helping anyone.

Thanks.”

I think we should start a PAC and get this done.  We could call it “Americans Against the Politically Illiterate.”
