DUBAI: The Al-Qaeda terror network set a one-month deadline for European nations to pull their troops out of Iraq, warning of more attacks in Europe following the London bombings, according to an Internet statement.
I'd take this with a grain of salt until its confirmed by a few more sources. But if its true, the message is clear: the war against terror in Iraq is working. The removal of Iraq as a safe haven for terrorists has hurt the jihadists. The democratization of Iraq will continue to hurt the causes of terrorism in the middle east for as long as Iraq remains democratic and free it will be an ally against terror.
These people want us to pull out of Iraq and they're using the only method at their disposal (or, at least, the only one they know how to use) to get what they want: death and destruction. Which is exactly why we cannot bow to their wishes.
