This not only illustrates the absurd double standards some in our society apply to Islam and Christianity, but also the absurdity of hate crimes in general.  After all, a book in a toilet is just a book in a toilet regardless of which book it is.  It may be art to some, but misdemeanor vandalism at worse.

Just as an assault is an assault regardless of what race or creed the victim is, or what motivation the perpetrator has.
