Fitting, but just lately I’ve become convinced that the Dem strategy in Iraq goes beyond mere ambivalent “nothing” to actually wanting us to lose given the fad of calling for troop deployment caps among Democrat 2008 Presidential hopefuls.

I don’t think even the Peace or Copperhead Democrats of the civil war era went so far as to try and pass legislation restricting the number troops Lincoln could use to fight the Confederates, though they did manage to get the civil war mentioned as a “failure” in the Democrat party platform and routinely called for immediately diplomacy with the south.

Sounds kind of familiar doesn’t it?
