On Thursday 10/28, my 16 yr old daughter went to a concert at the Assembly Hall. Four current rock bands, headlined by Yellowcard. During their show, the lead singer for Yellowcard commented that the security guys looked like Secret Service and then said something to the effect of "wouldn't it be cool to have the secret service escort Bush out of the Whitehouse". Here's the kicker: the crowd booed and shouted him down, to the point where he apologized and tried to cover up with some half baked crap about having forgotten that they were out in the hinterlands.
Out in the hinterlands, eh? That in and of itself is a little insulting.

It may well be that these fans were upset with the band for making a political statement at all, but my gut tells me differently. I myself am not far removed from my youth. At 24 years old I can tell you that the people I grew up with trend toward conservative/libertarian values as opposed to the socialist/liberal values espoused by the youth movements of the previous generation.
A lot of these people are tired of the overly-P.C., overly-litigious society we live in and view the DNC and the left in general as being responsible for it.
