Sky News - The three-day school siege in Russia has come to a dramatic and bloody end.The fate of all the children, teachers and parents is unclear, but in the last few hours, hundreds have been brought out, many almost naked and gasping for water.
At least 10 bodies were removed from the school amid gunfire and explosions.
Sky's Rachel Amatt, reporting from inside the school, said the situation had descended into chaos with parents flooding into the school grounds as the fighting continued.
It is understood that about 13 hostage-takers managed to escape and are holed up in the town of Beslan.
Reports say they have been cornered in a house which is being attacked by tanks and special forces.
One freed hostage said a female suicide bomber blew herself up when Russian soldiers stormed the building.
Around 100 special forces soldiers went into the building after a plan to recover some people, killed at the start of the siege, apparently went wrong and shooting broke out.
At that point children started running from the building to be greeted by their desperate parents.

BESLAN, Russia - Commandos stormed a school Friday in southern Russia and battled separatist rebels holding hundreds of hostages, as crying children, some naked and covered in blood, fled through explosions and gunfire. More than 100 bodies were reportedly found in the gymnasium where hostages had been held.
Much as they did on 9/11, the terrorists may have awoken another sleeping giant.
