In what areas do you think that McCain is worse or equal to Obama?

pparets - I’m sick of the “We’re so screwed” mentality.
So am I. Some of my fellow conservatives around here need to man up and grow some balls. Some, such as Rob, are looking at our situation from a tactical standpoint and are thinking that maybe the Republicans need to lose to shed some dead weight. I don’t exactly agree with Rob (we differ on the details), but that’s a legit fighting tactic.
On the converse, some of the other conservatives around here, who shall remain unnamed, are just crying that we are so screwed.
Well boo-hoo. Crying never solved anything.

By the way if Republicans as a group would stand for what’s right we wouldn’t get these crappy candidates.
I’m not saying that PParents doesn’t want what’s best for the country, but blindly following someone like McCain is the wrong thing to do.

Thanks, Likwidshoe!! I am suprised to find out how many folks agree with me on this: You, DocDave, BatWing, HG, Zsa Zsa, Neiman, and I hope many, many more!
The time for whining is over. We must not let Obama win this election!
People who put ‘principle’, party, or their personal grievances about John McCain ahead of the interests of our country are willing to risk our liberties and the future of this nation for their own purposes.

The dems would make us defenseless both domestically and nationally given a choice.

One word for the above: Bullshit!!!

Whistler: You don’t get it do you? Or you don’t want to get it. The future of our nation isn’t in the hands of ANY party. It’s in your hands and mine.
I have no “blind loyalty” to John McCain, and if there was a better GOP candidate, I would back that person in a heartbeat. You are a fine one to talk about ‘blindly’ holding a position!
Unlike you, I won’t sit around and whine over what I think will happen or what I think won’t happen under McCain. I know what will happen if Barack Obama is President. You do too!!
Obama must be stopped.

Elinas: BULLSHIT???
You tell me what President Clinton did when the USS Cole was attacked in Yemen?
You tell me what Clinton did when he was ‘offered’ Osama Bin Laden by the Sudanese?
You tell me what Clinton did when he had the chance to take out Bin Laden in Afghanistan?
Where was the Democrat courage and will to defend us then?
pparets - 02:05pm on 05/16/2008
Hey fellas, whatcha talkin bout?
realitybasedbob - 02:05pm on 05/16/2008
Ooohh, nothing.... Go back to sleep.

RBB,
You certainly do know how to make a timely entrance!
So where’s that list of “Big Dog” Clinton’s anti- nuclear proliferation and anti- Islamist terrorism “accomplishments”? Hmmm?
pparets,
Why just the USS Cole? Clinton was just as determined to “hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to justice” after the first WTC bombing, the two US embassy bombings, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia. Hell, by the time of the USS Cole, Clinton had that teary-eyed, lip-quivering outrage thing down pat.
