The same type of thing happened, a few years ago, in Jamestown, ND. From what I remember, it was either a suicide pact or a murder/suicide. A husband and wife were both found hanging from a tree in the front yard of their house. I looked for an reference to the story, online, but couldn’t find one.
They were there for a couple days before anybody noticed anything.
