As I stated before I am totally against abortion on every account, I am also for the death penalty as well, so I say hang the murderer.

Well, now we know of at least one abortion that was murder.

That reminds me of the Lacy Peterson murder case. There was a feminist memo (NARAL I think) that got out to the public explaining their predicament. Since all men are rapist scum, they had the opportunity to nail him for two murders, since Lacy was pregnant. But if they do that, they acknowledge that the "tissue mass" inside her is/was a person. They don’t dare do THAT!
It’s like every other liberal position out there: totally indefensible by logic and unable to stand on its own two feet. Everything they believe has to come with a "that depends" clause.

The insanity defense would probably have only worked if she were still within her first trimester. That’s when 98% of abotrions are done. The lawyer could have argued that she was driven insane from finding out that she was pregnant. Being full term doesn’t constitute abortion. Doctors will only do a partial-birth abortion up to the end of the second trimester (at the very end of the second trimester for either an ectopic pregancy or one that could potentially harm the mother). So the mother shooting herself on her due date is not exercising her “right” to an abortion--as NO doctor would do an abortion that late. A D&C (dilitation and curretage) will be done as late as 24 weeks because the fetus will not survive out of the womb. Even at 24 weeks, some babies will survive, so those D&Cs will only be done in extreme circumstances that late.
So, obviously the judge who dismissed this case hadn’t read up on their biology and anatomy/physiology. Technically, a woman only has a right to an abortion until the embryo becomes a fetus and can live outside the womb with assistance.
This chick was in need of an intervention. And she can’t say that she was scared of the pain of childbirth since she’d been through it before. Adoption would have been the right way to go if she didn’t want the child and actually gave a damn about her body.

This is the ludicrous state of abortion law in this country. If the mother doesn’t want an unborn child the child itself is considered a "clump of cells" that can and should be destroyed and vacuumed out of the mother’s womb. If the mother wants a child, however, that "clump of cells" magically turns into a human being with protection under the law.
It makes absolutely no sense.
I agree. A fetus has no rights of citizenship.

That’s not what he said. But then again, you knew that and were just continuing the argument in the dishonest way that abortion supporters do.

Unreal, how is this not murder? How can it be murder for a male to do such a thing with the woman’s consent and then this be considered a woman’s "right"?
The thought of this actually happening is disgusting. But the idea that this woman gets off with no punishment is offensive and ridiculous.

So MI, for you, this all comes down to location? A viable human being inside the womb (of course you probably will stop me right there and say it’s not a human being) vs. a viable human being outside the womb? At term the difference in location can take minutes to change, but that doesn’t matter to you?

Saraia- Thanks. Another female ? here who makes sense. Although I take the position that life begins at conception, I do agree that the Roe case clearly was talking about the embryo, not a fetus. You have heard about "partial-birth" "abortions" that kill the baby as it is exiting the birth canal?
MI-- using your logic, we can kill anyone who is not a citizen like the 12 million illegal aliens?
Yes, I did get a kick out of the NOW people dancing around the Lacy Peterson case.
True the ruling is stupid but don’t you need a license to perform an abortiono. What t’s the penalty for performing said abortion without a license.
I think the lawyer should have stuck to the insanity plea but it seemed to work out for this nutjob.
Sounds like the old fashioned science known in the middle ages as "alchemy".
Why the Guilt Roe?
