Harding was not president during the Great Depression. And his presidency was not really a disaster. Just lackluster. And then he died of a heart attack two years into his first term.

puzz’s opinions are always on the wrong side so one can be confident that the opposite of what she says will be true.

As far as Bushs low popularity, that was shaped by 7 years of negative media propaganda, lefty anti-war loonies and Dem partisonship.  It will take a long time with future unbiased historians to undo the slanderous attack on Bushs character and policies.

In the context of his time, with all the spineless RINOs, and the Dems who are really Communists and who think better of terrorists than of fellow Americans who have chosen a different Party, President Bush is a standout.  Compared to great Republican Presidents of the past, however, he is rather lackluster.
