Same story, different problem.  Unions are part of the problem.  I taught for 28 years in a non-union state.  Here, the administrators were corrupt and only out for themselves.

JustinB—tell that guy he needs to move down here to SE Houston in Texas...I know our administrative people in our district make well over $100K.  And don’t work half as hard.  And people wonder why I homeschool my kids.

All--Sorry for the double post, but when I used the HTML icon, it led to a blue page.  On subject, as a retired teacher, I will say that I was paid an honest day (year’s) pay for an honest day’s work.  The benefits here included health care and a state supported and protected pension.  No unions were necessary to provide us one of the strongest tenure laws and pensions in the nation.
