I just think it’s funny. My thinking it’s funny has nothing to do with your reaction to it. It’s just funny.
There’s much in the second paragraph with which I agree. Unfortunately, it’s encased in psychotic paranoia. That anyone would give it any credence is just as funny to me as my response. Well. Almost.

modern instances just uttered one of the most vulgar, offensive, blasphemous epithets I’ve ever read… and I’ll bet he thinks he’s also an intellectual. This is a classic example of liberals/artists trying to “shock” conservatives and then laugh that “they” don’t get “it” when it comes to the written language or modern art.
“Baby-fucking” especially in between the words Jesus and Christ… yeah, there’s some intellectual discourse.

I just have to ask why nobody has pointed out to Don that this piece of “red meat for the knee-jerk conservative, holy roller, Target-is-part-of-a-conspiracy-against-Christmas crowd” happens to come from a liberal, lesbian, secularist by the name of Tammy Bruce.
Kinda undermines his point, I’m afraid.

I want to see several of the ones she listed. There’s a market for it, it’s just not as big as the one for Harry Potter, King Kong, Lord of the Rings, and the Superfriends. All of those movies will make money, whether it’s in the theater or on DVD. I saw Good Night and Good Luck the opening night of Harry Potter, and the theatre was still full.

Actually, I think Tammy kinda skated around the real issue. Hollywood types are classic socialists. Busy making the movies they think we should be watching rather than what we really want to watch.

I like Irish Bare Knuckle Boxing.

See, I think you hit it on the head too MI. There’s a market, but the entertainment industry is so diversified these days (ipods, video games, computers, internet, etc.) that the days of the “blockbuster” may well be over. The day of the niche market is here, and the studios are going to have to adapt if they want to stay relevant.
I love going to the theater. Something that was instilled in me by my dad in childhood I guess. I still go, more for the experience than the fact that I actually want to shell out $40 for tickets, food and a chair with sticky armrests.

If gay shepherds makes big bucks, expect a sequel, maybe a prequel.
Get the water truck to wet the street, cue the fire, cue the stunt driver , sound rolling, action.
“Gay Sheperds Faster and Furiouser.”
