Who Is In Charge Of Foreign Policy, The President Or The New York Times?

New York Times, Duh.

don’t be too easy on the White House. This could have been an intentional leak by the White House.  If it isn’t, then it leakege would suggest a significant level of incompentence within the White House.  ..I think the former is more likely .....

There’s that word incompetence again.  I suppose the White House forgot to turn on their mind control device, because that’s the only way I know to control what people say to the press....

I seriously doubt the administration would leak a document to their worst enemy the New York Times of all news papers.  See how the NYT handled it?  Predictably casting the story in the worst possible light.

Sometimes I wonder about your mental competency.

Would someone please explain to me just what was gained by the NYT publishing this classfied memo? In the past when they’ve published classified material they claimed “public interest” issues. The NSA wiretap issue is just one example.

Where is the “public interest” in publishing this internal memo? I can’t see what good it could have possibly done anyone other than al-qaeda and al-sadr.

Just another transparent attempt to discredit the prsident. Disgusting is too mild a word for it.

Why can’t the press just fellate the Bush admin like Fox news does? Goodammit.

Thats debateable but I doubt it. The LEft tried blaming Rove on a leak one time and it never panned out. It doesn’t make sense to leak this stuff. I think eventually Bush is going to have to call out the NY times. I am surprised we have haven’t target it yet. But they are losing money that is the good side of things.

The NY times is nothing more than a mouth piece for the left wing loons and old europe.

The NY times is nothing more than a mouth piece for the left wing loons and old europe.

And the islamic terrorists.

The Whistler - 05:11am on 11/30/2006

If the NYTimes is a left wing mouthpiece,
why did it support the invasion of Iraq?

Now, d’ja hear ‘bout Judy Miller?

She disappeared, babe

After drawin’ out all her hard-earned cash

And now MacHeath spends just like a sailor

Could it be our boy’s done somethin’ rash?

This was an intentional “leak” from the White House. They wanted to let Maliki know to get his ducks in a row or we’re outta there but didn’t want the prez’s fingerprints on it.
