Where Are The Moderate Democrats?

I have a couple comments about this:

Lieberman is not a moderate.  Moderates are not defined by one issue… Iraq.  Make no mistake about it, he’s every bit as liberal as John Kerry and Ted Kennedy.

Also, if Lieberman is a “moderate” by default, because he’s rejected by both the left wing and the right wing, then this just shows that what is considered a “moderate” is always changing.  Which means that who is defined as a moderate will always be changing (probably always drifting to the right) and should be rejected by all people with principles.

Former US Senator, former governor, lifelong Democrat, and US Marine, Zell Miller was featured on a TV commercial this past week endorsing the re-election of Sonny Perdue, Georgia’s first GOP governor since reconstruction.

Rep. Bud Cramer, AL 5th District is a conservative Dem, which I suppose makes him a moderate.  There aren’t many, but there are a few.
