First we have Jimmy Carter, America’s worst president by any reasonable measure, declining to debate Alan Dershowitz, an “A-list” liberal, over Carter’s most recent anti-Jewish rant.
Now it’s AlGore’s turn. He turns up at a Sierra Club conference in a private jet and a Cadillac Escalade to explain to the peons that we must all cut back because the sky is falling, then declining to debate the verity of his film about the pending climatological Armageddon.
And all these years, we were told that those on the Left stood for openness, diversity, fairness, and inclusiveness. Guess not!
Most people figure out this “do as I say… not as I do” crap about the time we hit puberty. Not Democrats.

The WSJournal was most enlightening about Al Gore’s willingness to debate the facts, whatever they may be. His hand got called by the Danish newspsper and one of their scientists--Gore declined--probably was too technical--somebody to challenge the “facts”.

The scary truth is that Gore’s bogus film is being proselyted all over the world in educational institutions and conferences. For example, my local pastor, returning from a conference where the film was featured, was all gungho about global warming and I spent most of a luncheon trying to set him straight. Not sure I succeeded.

Here in PA Algore’s lovely bit-o-propaganda is being shown in schools. And they are getting hammered for it, by students. There is hope for the young’uns.
And you are right, DD, there is a very heavily financed campaign to subvert religious organizations and ministers nationwide concerning “GLOBAL WARMING!!!!”. And it is being effective, sorry to say. Most members of clergy are not scientists, and you put on a flashy show with lots of scary pictures and 3 syllable words in long strings and they fall all over themselves to stop “GLOBAL WARMING!!!!”.

If this does not make and seal the case that liberals do not want to discuss facts, nothing will. Al Gore’s theory, in film form is nothing but lies and hysteria, like a woman, he refused to stand up to simple questions. There were not threats, no pie throwing incidents, no childish yelling. Just simple factual questions. One in particular concerned the rising of the ocean’s depth. The Danes wanted him to simply acknowledge that in the previous 100 years, the oceans rose 1 1/2 feet compared to 1 foot this 100 years!

Why won’t Carter, Algore and others of their ilk face up to serious questions? Why must the Left shout down and protest any conservative speaker on college campuses? Because lies cannot stand the light of truth. The Left is only comfortable with prearranged questions and a friendly audience so that their message appears unassailable!
