What is your opinion of Ed Schaefer’s plagerism?  Should he apologize to the website whose information he ripped off and didn’t give credit to?

Who is Ed Schaefer?

What is your opinion of Ed Schafer’s plagerism?  Should he apologize to the website whose information he ripped off and didn’t give credit to?

Should he apologize on both counts?  If someone were to find all the back issues of the Dakota Beacon; has every article been plagiarized?  What kind of Editor is Steve Cates?  Should Steve Cates apologize for printing plagiarized articles?

I think so!

Ed Who?

Is the original author complaining?

Did Ed whatever tell his reputed victim to fuck off?

Ed WHO?

Rob, if this is the best your trolls can do, you need some new ones. I think I can spare a couple from Wizbang…

What is your opinion of Ed Schafer’s plagerism?

What’s “plagerism?”

As for Ed Schafer’s plagiarism, it was an honest mistake.  He researched a very small piece about an old submarine, didn’t quite change the wording enough from the original source, and got caught doing it.

Afterward he admitted he was wrong and apologized, unlike the folks at Walton & Johnson.  It was a rather small gaffe for someone with a resume as extensive and beyond reproach as Schafer’s.

Though it’s not surprising that a small-minded twit like you would bring it up in a totally unrelated context as though it were somehow a commentary on me or this current situation.

If someone were to find all the back issues of the Dakota Beacon; has every article been plagiarized?

Given how influential the Beacon has become in the state, and how desperate people like you are to try and smear anyone who disagrees with you, I’ve no doubt that this has been tried.  I know that my monthly contributions to the Beacon have never been plagiarized.

But, again, what Schafer, the Beacon and Steve Cates have to do with this current situation is beyond me.  I know you’re desperate, because I’m right about pretty much everything, but do try harder than this Troy.  It’s rather sad.

Ed Who?

Ed Schafer is our current Ag Secretary, as well as the former Governor of North Dakota and contributor to the Dakota Beacon magazine.  An in-state publication I still contribute to.

Troy, on the other hand, is himself a plagiarist who was once caught copying and pasting passages from scholarly works about the federal reserve and passing them off as his own.  He apparently sees no irony in complaining about something he himself is unrepentantly guilty of.

He researched a very small piece about an old submarine, didn’t quite change the wording enough from the original source, and got caught doing it.

And what about the Fargo Motor Company?  Should we expect a second apology?

I know you’re desperate, because I’m right about pretty much everything,

not to mention arrogant..

Troy_Pineri - 12:04pm on 04/02/2008

Anyone notice that Troy doesn’t deny that he plagerized.  He just keeps asking questions in an attempt to change the subject.

I have fully admitted to plagiarizing in the past

Troy_Pineri - 12:04pm on 04/02/2008

Would you like to discuss my plagiarism?  I would be happy to.  This is a discussion on plagiarism, right?
