And this is Bush’s fault?  You know the last time the National Debt was reduced was in 1960, right?  Get your facts straight before you lay blame....

Sphagnum - 10:01am on 01/02/2006

You just keep on telling yourself that.....

Ed: “I despise Bush because he borrows money from China to finance tax cuts to the rich and for a multitude of other reasons”

I think you got your presidents mixed up.  It was Clinton who gave missile and nuclear technology to the Chinese in exchange for money to fund his election campaigns.  Selling the countries military secrets is a whole lot worse than borrowing money as you alleged Bush to have done.

It was Clinton who gave missile and nuclear technology to the Chinese in exchange for money to fund his election campaigns.

I was not aware of that fact. What’s your source?

Dave - 11:01am on 01/02/2006

Oh geez.... Google Clinton+Nuclear+Chinese and you’ll get all kinds of stuff…

At the very least, you can say he he was very “friendly” in his giving of nuclear technology to the Chinese… I’m not so sure about the “political contributions” angle, I wasn’t really paying attention to politics at the time and dont’ care to review it much now.

Sphagnum - 11:01am on 01/02/2006

Dave, it’s been a few years since Clintons chinese malfeasance so please excuse me for not having the details on my finger tips.  However, if you do a google search on ‘Clintons chinese connections here , you will get several million hits so you can research it yourself.

docdave - 11:01am on 01/02/2006

Yeah, and Clinton also had a few people murdered too.

Ed - 11:01am on 01/02/2006

Yeah, sphag, Clinton was willing to trade almost everything and anything to the largest commie country in the world.  I believe it was on Clintons watch that China took over administration of the Panama canal and I think he was about to sell the San Diego Naval station to the Chinese also but I think Bush squashed that.  Basically the way that the missile technology was transfered to the Chinese was by removing corporate restrictions a perfectly legal ploy but not in the best interest of national security.  See here
