Proof:  rbb was expressing his disdain for the U of Maine show by putting the word “art” in quotes.  On this one, you were off-base.

You really are an idiot, poof.

Getting called an idiot by rbb is like getting called ugly by a warthog!

And what was that you said earlier about name calling being a sign of your defeat? So, when you call me names instead of addressing my point, you merely acknowledge the bankruptcy of your position. Thanks for surrendering, bob!

rbb:  The Bush photo looks fake.  Where is the link to it?

What “art” is today, is calculated largely on its shock value: Butchered animals, dung, a crucifix in a jar or urine, flags under foot...I don’t consider any of that to be art!
When you have to put the “air quotes” around it, you give the word a different meaning.
rbb is not alone in this.

Good post Rob B.

The American flag rug makes America look like a label.  Pop Culture America...nothing new.

I believe on the whole, order is better than chaos and modern art is a fascination with chaos and pessimism. Yuk!

The old ways of art is lost and gone: to express what is beautiful and precious.

I wonder how many government dollars Univ of Maine acquires every year?

It would be neat to start a petition to get them withheld.

Well I can dream, can’t I?

C. Y. - 06:04pm on 04/16/2008

Do you think that is art, Woof?

dirl126 - 06:04pm on 04/16/2008

rbb:  did you photoshop the Bush photo?
