And I bet she don’t want anybody to touch her ueterus either.

2Hotel9 - 05:08pm on 08/11/2005

Lik, you should get that joke.

2Hotel9 - 06:08pm on 08/11/2005

I don’t…

Sphagnum - 07:08pm on 08/11/2005

Neither do I, but I’ll pretend I do.

*laughs uproariously*

Just wait until it is YOU that an out-of-control government comes after just because of who you are, or what you look like, or with whom you associate — see how fast you run to the ACLU to protect you. Just ask Rush Limbaugh.

What are we supposed to ask Rush Limbaugh?

Except for too many people, innocent or otherwise, they can’t run to the ACLU — or even a lawyer or their family — because our dear President has decided to hide them away from any charges, any trial or tribunal, any sense of due process.

What people?

And all in spite of what the Supreme Court has ordered the President to do.

What have they ordered the President to do?

And by the way, where the hell is Osama?

I don’t know. Where is he? Why did you bring this up?

You guys here laugh at the ACLU, and all the while our democracy is going down the drain and we are becoming a pariah in the world — not because of who we are or what we believe, but because of what has been and is being done in our name.

Looking at the rest of the world: they don’t have much room at all to talk.  And considering that a good portion of their complaints and criticisms are ill founded, untrue, and outright lies; they can shut their traps.

You laugh because you have never been stopped by the police for DWB (Driving While Black) or been beaten senseless and even to death for being a gay man or black man or a middle eastern man after 911.

Who has been beaten to death for being a gay man, black man, or a Middle Eastern man?  You talk about this as if it was a normal thing.  Make your case.

Why has “tolerance” become a dirty four letter word, and “acceptance”?

“Tolerance” and “acceptance” have become perverted in the liberal lexicon.  Those words now mean that we have to tacitly endorse what is before us (unless it is conservatism, white people, America and Americanism, or Christianity).

Laugh, while you still can. Darkness in the form of George Bush and those who do evil in his name and with his blessings, is taking over our world.

Ah hahaha!  I’m laughing alright,..it’s at your ridiculous rhetoric.  “Taking over our world”...hahaha.  That’s rich.

Where do we run to challenge an out-of-control government?  The Congress just laughs at us and looks the other way.  You guys here laugh at the ACLU, and all the while our democracy is going down the drain and we are becoming a pariah in the world—not because of who we are or what we believe, but because of what has been and is being done in our name.  You laugh because you have never been stopped by the police for DWB (Driving While Black) or been beaten senseless and even to death for being a gay man or black man or a middle eastern man after 911.  Why has “tolerance” become a dirty four letter word, and “acceptance”?  Why does that make me un-American?

Laugh, while you still can.  Darkness in the form of George Bush and those who do evil in his name and with his blessings, is taking over our world.  But hey, “democracy is on the march” so why worry?  Why worry...hmmm, can we learn anything by looking at the economics of the late 1920’s in America?....or the mid 1930’s in Germany?

Go ahead and blast me (in spite of Barry Goldwater’s admonition that we can disagree without being disagreeable), or say I am soft on terrorism (in spite of Ben Franklin’s admonition that those who would sacrifice liberty for saftety deserve neither), or that I hate our President (in spite of Teddy Roosevelt’s admonition that to NOT question a President is to betray America.  I’m not laughing, and if you felt that America belongs to all of us, and each of us individually, then the denial of basic civil liberties and due process to any ONE American should both piss you off AND make you fear for ALL Americans AND yourself—because it is just a matter of time that for some unreasonable and inexplicable reason, the out-of-control government will come after you, too.  I just hope we still have an ACLU—or even one person—left to come to your aid.

How to know when to seek immediate psychological help, tip #47.

You should seek help when you make statements like

Darkness in the form of George Bush and those who do evil in his name and with his blessings, is taking over our world.

and mean it.

I find it pretty sad that there are people who have such a hard time thinking for themselves and reality testing what they are being told by their “authoritative sources”, that they actually believe this partisan spew.  Or perhaps there really are psychologically harmful effects from watching Epsiode 3 too many times in one week.

For the rest of us, Blogosphere Akbar!

Analytical Liberal, that is the worst straw man argument I have ever read in my life, in my life I said.

Hey Lik you can ask Rush to take his dick out of your ass.

Or Sean Hannity, for that matter.
