I am no animal rights activist, I don’t think animals are human, yet this was an incredibly cruel thing to do to a poor squirrel!

Rob,
That was funny!
[waanna mode]I demand an investigation into the frequency of squirrel catapult abuse![/waanna mode]

Neiman, rest assured that the squirrel is just fine. They have a larger ratio of area to mass, and hence they have a lower “terminal velocity” in air. They also have a better impact robustness than big critters like us, so with the same speed on impact, they’re less likely to “break.”
To draw a picture, it’s said that you could drop a mouse from the top of the Empire State building, and it’d be fine...unless a hawk got to it on the way down. Same basic principle with squirrels. Cats are supposed to be good to about 11 stories up.
People? Not so good.

As a non-fan of tree rats, I approve of this non-lethal method of moving them away from plants, flowers, porches, etc.

I laughed at and felt sorry for the squirrel.
It’s a confusing contradiction.

Why the border fence won’t work.
and
isn’t this the profile of fledgling serial killers? First they torture small animals.
and
can you shoot the squirrels at
pigeons with any accuracy.

The Coolest Squirrel Catapault You’ll See All Day
Make that the ONLY squirrel catapult I’ll see all day…
