Not likely, Hal. They’ve got a lot of liberal guilt to work off.
By the way, hasn’t the NCAA put itself in a rather precarious legal position there? The organization has declared, officially, that the “Fighting Illini” nickname is not offensive or injurious to Native Americans (who tasked them with making that determination is beyond me), yet they’re continuing their legal battle with UND over “Fighting Sioux” being all of those things.
How can they do that? Seems like a rather blatant double standard to me.
