How terribly stylish! Commit crimes as a family be incarcerated as a family. What terrible punishment the parents are suffering in this 5-star cross bar hotel. I am so glad the mothers are so happy serving their prison sentences, the father’s are able to get regular nookey and the children can exercise and play about in prison, yes very stylish indeed!

Neiman. Sounds like you’re passing judgment. God doesn’t like it when you do that, remember?

Sparkie: God does not allow Christians to pass judgment on the eternal destiny or other human beings as He loves them all equally and leaves all Judgment to the Son in such matters. That does not mean that Christians are precluded from judging whether or not the affairs of life by other human beings are good or bad for the individuals involved or society as a whole and striving to influence people or society in that regard.
If I see a man raping a woman or another molesting a child, surely I am permitted to judge those things as being evil and am obligated to intervene on the behalf of the victim. While other matters in life are not always clear and others can have opposite opinions without being judged harshly for disagreeing.
Thus, since I am convinced that not only is God Love, but He is also Just, he does allow His creatures the right to punish those who violate the rules/laws of society. In this case, these people having committed a crime and being allowed to stay together as a family and expose their children to prison life does not seem to me to be much of a form of real punishment, and will not result in people being enouraged to obey the law and live decently among other human beings. So, while it may seem very stylish, modern and liberal, I doubt it serves society’s interests very well and believe I am able to express those simple feelings without always having my Christianity attacked in the process.
Nonetheless, that false charge against Christians that they are to make no judgments in life is not only contrary to Scripture but rather silly on its face.
