Agreed.  Finally, let the battle for 1,000,000 lives a year begin.
We win on moral grounds and sheer numbers.  BTW, the site doesn’t seem to retain the personal info.

It’s about time we knocked out this obscenity of making abortion essentially a constitutional right.
BTW, I’m noticing that my personal info isn’t retained, and I’m still not getting any comment notifications.

Doesn’t this happen all the time, and doesn’t it never work?

Its certainly got a better chance at working now.

Dave: IMO, allowing the people to vote will put the matter to rest, for the most part, one way or the other.  Leaving this up to SCOTUS was the wrong way to go.  The damage to our country has been incalculable, no matter which side you are on. Those who want it universalized must pursue a Constitutional Amendment to do so.  Ditto for the “right to privacy”.

Agreed!!!! Maybe other states will follow the example!!!!

My point was, don’t several states already have laws on the books preventing abortion?

Yes. But that really wasn’t the point you were making that I was responding to.

With a judiciary moving towards upholding law rather than making it, a challenge of Roe vs. Wade has a better chance today of overturning the law than it did in the past.

This is shit i think that nobody should have the right to say whethere i not i keep my baby or not. except me. and if the doctor will do it or not. everybody who is capable of reproducing should and if they are in a situation where they can not take care of it they should themselves find a family suitable for proper care. not give it up for adoption. but just make arangement. or maybe just a thougt the government give some of that good money to women who cant have children that are willing and maybe not financaily able to take care of a child.

I think most of us here are fine with the idea of you giving your baby away, like as in putting it up for adoption or leaving it with suitable adults to care for it.  Its just that, we’d just as soon you not kill the poor kid just because having it is inconvenient for you.
