Perhaps it would be a better for people to be exposed to vice when they are mature enough to understand what’s right or what’s wrong.
The schools have done a horrible job of letting the bad kids take over the schools.

Anna: What does that mean - socially mature?
Your suggestions of private schools, parochial schools, Montessori schools, military schools etcetera are good and if properly chosen can help with healthy social maturation. But, if your child goes to a public school he/she will, in all likelihood be socialized into drug use, sexual promiscuity, foul language, lower moral standards, crime and have a hostility towards Christ and the Church - no matter what you do at home. Why? Because the school has four things going for them: 1. They set the curriculum and determine the social values that will be tolerated and promoted. 2. They have nearly absolute control over our kids and have closer interactions with them five days a week than most parents ever will. 3. Teachers operate under the skewed color of authority and trust, wherein the children are more likely to believe what they teach them you. 4. These kids, wanting peer approval will more likely than not accept the moral values of their fellow students. 5. I could add many more such factors, but you get the idea!
So, what price is there for being stylish and having your child matured in social interactions in an institution that more likely than not rejects your values and teaches your children to reject them as well? No, with no disrepect intended Anna, I would rather have a socially naive child that will have some hard knocks in life than one corrupted by a system that rejects the Judeo-Christian values I find critical to their eternal fate.
