Every state should have a death penatly, the debate should only be when to use it.

This will definitely open the debate both in N. Dak and here in MN.  I understand that WI has it as a ballot measure this year.

No this won’t energize the debate.  Maybe someone will introduce a bill but if I had to money on it I would put everything on no death penalty.  In fact, unless some deranged liberal decides to pre-emptively protest the death penalty no one will do anything more then write a couple letters to the editor and comment on a blog.

The North Dakotan’s that really want the death penalty are not the type to organize anytype of political movement to reinstate it and those against it are those type.

This will energize the debate because people will talk about it, but I doubt ND will change its stance.

Which is fine with me, because I’d just as soon not have it.  Less expensive to just keep ‘em in jail.

Freerepublicans, for whatever reason, your info is coming up as the default in the comments.

That’s my bad guys, working on it.

It’d be great if we got capital punishment here in ND, but I really don’t see it happening. It’s the type of issue over which it’s easier to energize a base in opposition to it rather than in support of it.
