OPEC has been squeeling like a stuck pig for 2 months. In point of fact, they have been operating at the upper limit of their capability for quite some time now. Refineries can only operate for so long before they have to go into shutdown. Operators in the US are required by law to do shutdowns once a year. In other countries they run by looser rules, at least till their refineries start blowing up.

Hardly likely.  Democrats have never shown themselves to be influenced by the truth.

As for the production cut backs, I doubt that they will have much of an impact on gas prices.  There have been numerous instances in the past of when OPEC called for production cuts, and invariably, one member country or another winds up trying to make up for the lost revenue by increasing oil production in spite of OPEC.  Greed IS good!
