It’s not about being thin-skinned, it’s common decency. She has 5 children, one of whom is disabled, and she has probably decided that the ridicule that liberals throw upon her children is not worth the price. She’s a MOTHER and WIFE first, politician 2nd… which is a crying shame.
If she quit because someone made a joke about her daughter getting pregnant than it’s thin skin.
Some of the attacks were downright nasty (especially about Trig), but the joke was pathetic.

News reports coming out now are saying she’s got her sights on something else. But if she took time off for her kids to mature that’d be fine.
Meanwhile if letterworm dared say something as nasty about Obama’s daughters the whole world would come down on him, including the right.

But I think she may be just sick of the constant liberal attacks and baseless accusations. Got any proof yet, after all these lawsuits and lying smear attacks - any idictments yet?
McCain was a front runner for President and Palin VP - and yet, I have not seen any vitriol like this directed at McCain only at Palin. Why is that?
And don’t give me the hogwash of she is stupid, blah blah blah, try and come up with something more concrete that warrants these continuous attacks and smears from the media and liberals after the election has been over for some months now.
Personally if she is able to as a private citizen I would hope she can start counter suing these people for harrassment and defamation. In other words put up or shut up.
