I should add one important piece of information, conveniently omitted in the article. She’s not being investigated because of Troopergate, she’s being investigated because she requested an investigation to be held to show her transparency and legitimacy in the matter…

In 2006, before Palin was governor, Wooten was suspended for ten days for threatening to kill McCann’s (and Palin’s) father, tasering his 11-year-old stepson, drinking beer in his squad car, and violating game laws.
Another article I read about this had added to the above statement:
“. . . . tasering his 11-year-old stepson,AT HIS REQUEST, drinking beer. . . . .”
Yeah, I’d at least request a $25 deposit for the Taser cartridge before granting an 11 year old kid’s request to get Tasered. {/sarcasm mode}

Michael Wooten, whom Palin had recommended for the troopers division when she was mayor of the city of Wasilla five years previously.
She didn’t put him in his job, she just gave a recommendation. If I were in a position of authority, and my brother-in-law was looking for a job, I would put in a good word.
It’s called a reference. You don’t even work at a McDonalds without one.

First the legislator approved an investigation then Sarah
decided to investigate herself.
Gov. Sarah Palin is trying to find out what the Legislature’s special investigator might discover as he probes her controversial firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan.
Colberg said his office’s review began after state Sen. Hollis French was quoted in The Wall Street Journal about two weeks ago saying the governor could be impeached as a result of the probe. That raised questions about how impartial the Legislature’s investigation was going to be, according to the governor’s office.
This doesn’t even deserve a “gate” suffix.
It’s media manipulation as far as I’m concerned. Will somebody explain to me where a well informed person would find flaw in her character for this?
