I think in some ways it is, and that’s precisely why I favor the Special Forces over the general Army. ..the special forces are extremely good on learning and exploiting social and cultural nuances (e.g. Afghanistan and winning over some Warlords)

Whatever happened to the good old days of war… You know… Where soldiers killed people. The US used to win ears when we used that strategy. Why change? Especially when all of the changes haven’t proven effective…
