The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting. Period. And this socialist mentality crap IS why violent thugs are committing crimes against innocent people.
I read a letter to the editor in WaPo on Saturday from a woman that screeched that lifting the DC gun ban would put guns in the hands of thousands of violent criminals. This letter was from a woman in Fla, so apparently she is unaware that guns are in the hands of thousands of violent criminals in DC already. Lifting the ban would put guns in the hands, legally obtained guns, of citizens who are currently the victims of violent crimes every day.
Why do these morons support the rights of criminals to commit crimes and fight the rights of citizens to defend themselves against criminals? Seems like a fairly simple and straightforward question.

So, Senator Obama’s position is that guns are OK in the hands of whites in rural Iowa, but should be kept out of the hands of blacks in inner-city Chicago or East St Louis. OK, whatever. But I must point out that if a white man like myself said something that discriminatory, the Official Black Leadership would pound me silly - and rightly so.
