"blackwater"boob presents us a picture from Yalta.
Note that our actual enemies at that time (Germany under Hitler, Japan under Tojo, and Italy under Mussolini) are not present. Obama clearly would have had them at the table as well… I’m of the opinion that Roosevelt and Churchill had it right when they set the bar at unconditional surrender.
As regards Krushchev and JFK (not to be confused with John Fracking Kerry), someone might want to point out to “blackwater” that we never actually went to war with the Soviet Union.
If jaw jaw worked without the perceived muscle to back it up, the UN would be effective (other than at bribery, sexual slavery, and graft).

Hannitized,
Iran has been in a de-facto state of war with the United States since November 4th, 1979, and has been stirring the pot ever since.

Rodney,
I understand that you feel this way. However, there are a lot of people who don’t and who in fact think there is a chance we could iron things out. We did it with the evil commies after all.

Eunichized,
Iran has been waging war on the United States for nearly 29 years. In that time we have twice taken effective (but limited) military action against the Mad Mullahs. We have otherwise followed your preferred course of jaw jaw. You merely propose the latest instance of the Progressive cry: “That didn’t work, let’s try it some more.”

How do you “work things out” with a bunch of psychopaths who regard death as a “reward.” (As long as they don’t have any pork products in or on their bodies when they die.)

Hannitized, you conveniently forget that the main source of IEDs is Iran. While not officially at war, they are our enemy in that way, and certainly what they’re said to have done is casus belli.

Wrong again, Rod!
Better swallow some beta carotene and sit this one out.

Kennedy did not ‘invade’ Vietnam. Eisenhower in September 1950 sent the Military Assistance Advisory Group to Vietnam to assist France, as well has $10 million dollars worth of equipment. Kennedy continued this and by mid-1962, the number of U.S. Military Advisors in South Vietnam was 12,000.
On March 8, 1965 was when 3,500 Marines were deployed to South Vietnam.

How do you “work things out” with a bunch of people who regard death as an honorable thing to die for when fighting for God and country?
So maybe now you see what little happens when you guys, talk to the other guys? The answer is you just gotta find the right people to talk to.
