In my state the Republican Governor we elected pushed for and achieved privatization of and outsourcing of quite a few state bureaus and departments, it’s been profitable for the state. We went from a $2 billion deficit left by his Democrat predecessor to a >$2 billion surplus in the 4 years he’s been in office.
Proof that private entities, i.e. evil corporations, are much more capable of handling these tasks for a small fee. And if they don’t get it right, the contract can renegotiated and if necessary, awarded to another candidate. You just can’t get that option with a state agency, you’re just stuck with the downward spiral of burgeoning bureaucracy.
