Free health care is not free! It would be wonderful IF we lived in a perfect world. It would be fabulous IF alqaeda and Islamic jihadist did not exist. Our troops are doing a job and doing it very well. Gasoline is going to only get more expensive IF the Dems have their way and start taxing it. JT is very handsome.

Yeah zz our troops are doing a great job, too bad the Iraqi government is taking advantage of them and not getting their work done so more of our heroes are getting killed.

Too bad the world is not the tidy, wrapped in colorful ribbons place most people might prefer. To blame the Iraqi government is not helpful and runs contrary to many of the known facts. Could they do better? Sure! Hell they could be damn near perfect, but considering our messy government here, I would be slow to criticize a government trying to come out of hell under a mad man and plagued by religious hatreds, considering where they were and where they are, they are doing pretty well.
Our soldiers are getting killed because war is a damn messy business, it is the nature of the beast.
This country and this world would have a better chance if all the doom and gloom, the glass is half empty people would calm the hell down. The American economy is strong, albeit facing daily crisis; the war in Iraq is going very well, though not perfectly; the price of gasoline is high, but with a little work would go way tomorrow - also what is the worst thing that can happen with these high prices, this summer we can stay home and spend time with our families - oh the horror. But, I am pissing against the wind here, people just like to feel bad and think the sky is falling.
I hate the idea of President Obama and a more powerful Socialist-Democratic controlled Congress; but, short of a global catastrophe, there are limits to how bad they can make things and knowing that bunch of America haters, four years from now people will be screaming to get Republicans back in charge.
None of the above was personal Puzzlefeet, I am just using your comments to make some general musings.

Hell, Neiman,I ain’t expecting no ribbons in Iraq, but you can’t tell me with a straight face that they are doing what needs to be done there to own their government. Why should they? We’re there.
Calm the hell down, you say! Ha! I don’t think we’re even mad enough or tough enough on the Iraqi government. Our troops are being attacked every day, and you say war is messy. It is their government, why don’t they make the decisions that need to be made. The government in Iraq is in a sorry state and our warriors are paying the price for their lackadaisacal meandering of government operation.

Puzzlefeet: I respect your views and your right to express the, I simply disagree with them.
I said all the naysayers should calm down, not that we should not ‘take names and kick butt’ among the Iraqi leadership.
I will end with this: The world is not a tidy place, never was and never will be; and Iraq, like most governments after war are even less tidy. Just think about MacArthur and his dictatorial rule in Japan for years until Japan got their footing and built a great nation. Same with Germany!
