No they didn’t. The article’s headline is: “Cheney aide gave Times reporter details in CIA case”. Not “Cheney aide leaked Plame’s identity to Times reporter”.

On June 23, 2003, Ms. Miller visited Mr. Libby at the Old Executive Office Building in Washington. Mr. Libby was the vice president’s top aide and had played an important role in shaping the argument for going to war in Iraq. He was “a good-faith source who was usually straight with me,” Ms. Miller said in an interview.
Her assignment was to write an article about the failure to find unconventional weapons in Iraq. The Reuters article about the Times article is accurate. Libby gave Miller a lot of information about the Wilsons; whether he knowningly leaked the identity of a Valerie Plame whom he knew was a covert agent is the only question we still have.

I’ve decided that, since this case has gotten so big and confusing, I’m just going to give it a pass, as there’s no way I can keep up with all the new twists and turns.

As of this morning, at both CNN and Fox, Ms Miller now says"she can’t remember” who leaked Plame to her. So we are to believe she sat in jail all that time because she can’t remember? Rriigghhtt!!

As of this morning, at both CNN and Fox, Ms Miller now says”she can’t remember” who leaked Plame to her. So we are to believe she sat in jail all that time because she can’t remember? Rriigghhtt!!
We should hold journalists and politicians to the same standards we hold professional athletes.
When Raphael Palmeiro says he “has no idea” how the steroids got in his locker, we call him a liar. When Judity Miller says she doesn’t remember who leaked Plame’s identity to her, we should do the same.

From your comment, it appears you believe that she is lying to protect someone. (I believe that, as well. All rational men must believe that… apply the Palmeiro standard!)

Who would she protect? This is a puzzle! Looking at the current polictical geography, no one stands out. Meaning the target is masked. Or not related to the geo-political situation. So. Who was she sleeping with 3 years ago?

I don’t know! Perhaps the Who is Who listing for Arlington,VA, compiled by the Chamber of Commerce? They listed her as an employee of the CIA in ‘97. Or, maybe, her neighbors. They knew she worked for CIA when the news trucks rolled onto their street.
