If it’s a "partisan point-scorer," with which party does this score points?

Which side believes America is evil? And do they get extra points for creativity?

Wait… His motivation for becoming a torturer was because his commanding officer ordered the use of WMDs against Sayid’s hometown.
We should be rooting Sayid, not throwing him under the bus. :/

I don’t know, Davey. Which party routinely accuses our military of torture?
Rob - 05:02am on 02/16/2006
I don’t know. I think this is a bit of a stretch. Sure, the bearded guy (I’m guessing he was supposed to be CIA) gave Sayid the toolbox, but that didn’t force Sayid to do anything. Finding out that his CO had been responisble for gassing a town where his family lived is what really pushed Sayid over the edge.
Heck, he doesn’t even say, "the Americans turned me into a torturer". He just says that he was a different person after they left. I don’t know. Maybe I’m biased because I like the show. But you had to suspect that something like this was coming, what with all the time they spend going into the character’s histories. It jsut seems like if they really wanted to get all "anti-American" they could have done a lot more.

Even from your description, Angus, it sounds like the writers were trying to make a point about America and torture.
But like I said, I haven’t seen the show yet. I’ll watch it tonight.

Get with it.
Disappointing, but not suprising.
Disappointing, but not SURPRISING, I mean.
