Do you have the DD-214 to back that opinion of yours up?
Didn’t think so.

Hawk,
Do you have the DD-214 to back that opinion of yours up?
Didn’t think so.
Yes. I also have my commission letter, my promotion letters, my award paperwork, the paperwork releasing me from the National Guard, which I served in for 5 years after I was on active duty for six years and a VA card I use to get medical treatment for the injuries I acquired while in the military.

I’ll not question Hawk’s service, but will instead look past his childish and petty comments on this site and thank him for it.
Well done, Hawk. Thank you for your service.

Thanks for your service Hawk. We appreciate it. Now stop trying to pretend that because you served in the past that we should value your opinion more than the majority of soldiers serving today. Because that’s what the chickenhawk argument boils down to.

Kenny. Hawk is not saying that we should value his opinion more, but having served and under the conditions he has outlined, he is in a much more informed position to comment on certain things regarding our military. He said too bad there are not more on this site that want to be soldiers. That is a reasonable statement. Just like: “too bad there are not more people in the US who want to give blood.”
Take a guess what percentage try to give blood before you check the link above.

Still finding it disturbing that a 5 year old wants to kill men, women, and children. Since he can’t go to Iraq to fulfill his dream, maybe he can throw a puppy off a cliff, he should be able to do that at his age, and then he could feel like a true marine!
hmmm - 05:03pm on 03/21/2008
hmmm,
Why not take that up with Hawk, since he’s here to answer?
Rodney Graves - 08:03pm on 03/21/2008
hmmm, I highly doubt the 5 year old wants to kill people. Would it be possible that he has been taught by his parents to see the true honor in serving his country. Or maybe because every little boy wants to be a soldier, policeman, or firefighter when they are little. Did you want to be a ballerina or model when you were young hmmm?

oh and btw hawk, thank you for your service to protect people like me.

That’s good! Your delusions disturb you.
