I think the most bizarre part of his explanation is that he ‘fell over his dog’ - certainly a little suspect.
However, if I had been caught out doing something I shouldn’t have been doing at 4:30am in a London park, the LAST place I would go to is a police station. I’d dust myself down and sneak home as quietly as I could.
