What’s the chance that Kent was going to try lying his way out of it.
He should leave his defense up to the professionals at the Forum.

Another slick politician talking: ““I never met Angelo Mozilo. And in my role as a United States Senator, I have never done anything for Countrywide.”
Never met him but he surely talked to him:``I called (Mozilo). I said, ‘I’m buying this property. Would you be interested in the mortgage?’, and he said, ‘Yeah. Call these people and we’ll take a look,’’’
Semantics.

Who does he think he is; Bill Clinton?
Gaylord doesn’t have a law license.

No, but it’s the MSM that you all hate and distrust unless it’s about a dem. I get it now.

Calautti joined Major League Baseball in 2004, so these loans were also being negotiated—it looks like—when she was Dorgan’s chief of staff.

No, Whistler, did it sound like I was crying. Certainly didn’t want it to sound like that. Just pointing out how Rob et al whine about the MSM and then jump with glee when the MSM writes something they can go after a dem without the least bit of hesitation. I’m just sayin......
Pom. was there a break between her COS job and major league baseball, or our you just reaching like everyone else here.

I find it funny that it took Conde Nast Portfolio to do it while the Washington post was napping.
Mainstream Media, Humph.
Of course if it was by the mainstream media it wouldn’t matter, you’re just trying to divert attention to the fact that your boy got caught and has a black eye.

Didn’t Gaylord claim he would only serve one term as senator?
During the campaign, Conrad pledged that he would not run for re-election if the Federal budget deficit had not fallen by the end of his term. By 1992 it became obvious that this would not be the case, and although polls showed that the electors would have welcomed him going back on his pledge, Conrad considered his promise binding and did not run for re-election. Dorgan won the Democratic primary election.
Conrad got an unusual opportunity to remain in the Senate when the other North Dakota senator, long-serving Dem-NPLer Quentin Burdick, died on September 8, 1992. Burdick’s widow, Jocelyn Birch Burdick, was appointed to that seat temporarily, but a special election was needed to fill the rest of the term. As this was not running for re-election, Conrad ran for and secured the Democratic-NPL nomination.
The fix was in and the Nd. sheeple continued to snooze.

Like I predicted the Media is trying to spin this as no big deal. It will be swept under the rug just like Dorganoff miss steps were…
