As long as Conrad keeps sending pork back to ND he’ll continue to be reelected, no matter what his stand on guns might be. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got 10 terms and retired at 96.

I think it was the catagory “Best display of a flannel shirt” that got him the recognition.

The fact of the matter is, no Republican who does well in state elections will put himself up against C, D, or P. Even Governor Ed with his poularity wouldn’t do it. The Republicans habitually nominate sacrificial lambs to the slaughter, and allow them to be turned into electoral chutny. Why? Because NDers have become prostitutes to Federal pork. $1 to DC, $2 back. Farmers, universities, businesses. They all stand in line, and C, D, and P hand out the largesse. All three are untouchable, even if their hypocrisy of hauling out their flannel shirts and walking through wheat fields is so obvious.

Spot-on analysis.

Thank you. See, we do agree on some things.

I’ve never said otherwise. Right is right.
But I actually think we agree on quite a lot, given what I’ve seen of your other comments.
