Oh no he was a POW, whom was tourchered, thus making him way to demented for serving as the president!

If this was true which it isn’t, unlike either of the Dem candidates, McCain would have a ligitament excuse.

I just posted a short video of Col. Bud Day, who was McCain’s “roomie” in the Hanoi Hilton for about 2 1/2 years.

Plus, anyone who’s a Packer’s fan can’t be all bad! Heh.

When are we going to wake up and realize that if we don’t support McCain, we get the senate’s MOST LIBERAL member, Barack Obama, as President?

Pparents, there is a possibility if McCain doesn’t pick a good conservative that McCain runs the risk of losing his conservative backing. McCain record on some key conservative issues is questionable.

There is a mind set that some Conservatives would rather see Barack run the country into the ground than to let elect McCain if he upsets conservatives anymore. After Barack Hussein Obama has run the country into the ground we can rally around a more conservative candidate and finally get some real conservative elected. IF McCain picks some RINO liberal Republican I might stay home myself and I am sure that I am not alone. The second Amendment, Immigration enforcement, Conservative Judges are important and a lot of us don’t want to support or want a candidate that constiantly sticks his thumb in our eyes and disses conservative beliefs. We also don’t want our president signing off on LIBERAL BELIEFS and issues.

McCain can not expect moderates and dems to vote for him.

Some of the worst attacks made against John McCain have been made right here at SAB.

I assume that you mean me Do you want to point out specifics to discuss whether it’s a legitimate difference of opinion or an unfair attack?

On the other hand his RECORD and his PLATFORM are legitimate discussion points.

No, Goon! McCain is a conservative, why?

The ultimate litmust test, SCOTUS

The Supreme Court is no joke, the law ends there. McCain has consistently been for strict constructionists.

Goon:  I love the unfounded speculation that after four years of Barack, the country will wake up.

Never mind that in four short years, armed with an expanded liberal majority in congress, Obama will return the Supreme Court to an activist, liberal bench for the next 20 years.

Never mind that Obama and congress will open the flood-gates of illegal immigration to an unprecidented level.

Never mind that a national [socialist] health care system will quickly be put in place.

Never mind that Obama will pull our troops out of the war on terrorism and have lunch with Ahmadinijahd.

Never mind that President Obama will immediately ask congress to put Affirmative Action back on the books.

Never mind that restrictions on gun ownership will be tightened and tightened again and again.

Never mind that Congress will have Whit House support for unprecidented tax increases.

Never mind that all of that can and will be accomplished in 48 months…

Let’s keep right on bashing McCain and let him know just how unhappy and suspicious we are.

Whistler:  Actually, I did not have you in mind.

While I think you cling to your perception that McCain is untrustworthy, I consider you to be reasonable and gentlemanly in your criticisms.

My reaction to you has always been, so what do you want?  Obama in the White House?

And what good is gained by your repeated recitation of grievances against McCain?  Will it help him win or weaken his chances?

In the final analysis, I respect and trust your honesty. I just think it’s time to move on.

Conservatives are making the same argument about McCain. I don’t see how he wins if he doesn’t pick a good solid conservative to be his running mate. On Immigration McCain is really not much different that Obama. It is almost a wash. One can make a argument for the Gang of 14 with McCain as well. Because If I understand it right they stopped the Republicans from pulling the nuclear option.

I have heard no one try to accuse McCain of collaboration, which certainly absurd. No less absurd than the attacks on Kerry’s military record the republicans made four years ago.  What I find absurd is that anyone could promulgate an unconscionable smear campaign against Kerry and suddenly be offended when the smear comes back against their candidate.
