Why would you want to name a sports team after the losers?
How about The Calvary Stallions? “The Calvary’s coming” instills a sense of impending rescue and victory. Calling an athlete a stallion gets the primordal juices flowing.
Wouldn’t a statue of a horse on its back legs with a cowboy hatted soldier on board, rifle in hand, just make you feel good all over?
