Now, come the end of school there will be a fall off in newboot numbers, which will pick back up in the fall. Having had this discussion before, can anyone explain why that is?

These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth’s foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.
Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
They stood, and earth’s foundations stay;
What God abandoned, these defended,
And saved the sum of things for pay.

I seem to recall that the numbers of KIA is over 2,400 and the wounded is up near 18,000 with around 8,000 of those not able to return to active duty.
Just a small point.
May a God bless them all.

rbb: How many Iraqis have they freed from a murderous dictator? When you talk about the cost, it’s dishonest not to mention the benefits. Bad habit of the antiwar lefties.
Spreading freedom is dumb? Just what are you trying to say there?
Don’t tell me - you expect freedom to be easily gained and easily kept. Anything that suggests that the process is anything but perfect is not to be endorsed.
