I don’t think it defines their patriotism, I think it defines their politics.
Agreed.
If they were smart they’d shut about about their politics. If they care to speak out then they shouldn’t whine about the consequences.
Why? Did you ever hear the song “shut up and sing”? They are telling people who think what you have said, and politely tell them to bugger off.
.... So the nimrods that claim that the US is (and was) always in the wrong are unpatriotic.
If you think your government is making a mistake and endangering its people and its position in the world as a global leader as a result of foreign policy, and tries to get them to change their policy, that is always patriotic. You just dont like their brand of it.

I’m glad we share the same view of the “Chix” integrity!
Well they aren’t doing it now, so yes we do see their integrity in full force.
Almost every music band that doesn’t have their own label has to target an audience, you moron.
In your mind, that would mean almost no artist has integrity.
Integrity doesn’t expand your reach to audiences.

When I accuse someone of being upatriotic I’ll be willing to defend my position.

And you know this how?
Or, that we all know most women in country music fake their patriotism so they can have an audience, thus, a career.
Believe it or not there are some decent, honest people who know and understand the price paid for our freedoms. They enjoy their lives and are truly happy. Some sing about it as a way to express their joy. Some write books, some make movies like Flags of our Fathers, some wrote poetry like Francis Scott Key, some join the military, some go to Church, some tell their children The Truth.

I am not questioning that Chief, of course that is the case for some, many, whatever. My point was that in country music, a lot people fake their patriotism and admiration of all things country. This was written about by a lot of country artists like Neko Case and K.D. Lang. When you sign a contract you are sometimes asked to sing songs you didnt write or songs that don’t ring true to their person. Thats all I am saying.

I agree with all of that. All I am saying is sometimes, people pull out their patriotism to make a buck.
